What is CBASP?

CBASP stands for cognitive behavioural analysis system for psychotherapy. It is an approach with some very positive outcomes in helping people who have chronic and intractable depression, which was developed by James P McCullough Jnr (2000, 2006).

CBASP helps clients to learn new ways to problem solve differently in their lives by analysing in detail specific interactions and trigger situations which cause them distress. It works with the persons existing interactional patterns, which can sometimes get in the way of their healing.
